Our Multi Gala Mask features a metallic gold, pink and blue mask trimmed with contrasting gold and black sequins and finished with a side decoration of yellow and black feathers. Attached to the eyemask is a black elasticated band which holds the mask in place.
Masquerade Balls involved participants wearing masks as disguises and became a popular event in the Royal Courts of Europe by the 14th century. At the time, Venice was one of the worlds wealthiest and most powerful cities, and its carnival celebration was well known through out Europe. Emulation of the city's masked celebrations led to the use of Venetian masquerade ball to refer to any dances involving masks.
